By Friday, you’re presenting crisp insights to leaders: where fill rates improved, which stockouts were prevented, and how to rebalance items across the network for better turns and service.What you’ll take onInventory planning and optimizationProbe demand history, forecast signals, lead times, service levels, on‑hand/on‑order positions, supplier performance, and sourcing paths to shape inventory decisions.Administer, validate, and continuously improve the ERP planning platform to ensure accurate recommendations and adoption.Evaluate system‑generated forecasts and replenishment suggestions; surface exceptions and propose corrective actions.Recalibrate safety stock, order policies, lead times, service‑level targets, seasonality profiles, and item‑location segmentation to align with business goals.Run root‑cause analyses on stockouts, overstocks, forecast misses, inventory imbalances, and weak replenishment logic.Recommend transfers, parameter updates, and purchasing adjustments to strengthen placement and performance.Branch stocking and assortmentBuild, validate, and maintain location/DC/category/item stocking blueprints driven by data.Determine optimal stocking points using customer demand, sales velocity, regional nuances, product relationships, sourcing routes, and network roles.Measure plan performance and recommend additions, removals, substitutions, transfers, or parameter changes.Spot assortment gaps, duplicate SKUs, misplaced inventory, and opportunities to consolidate or reposition stock.Lead recurring reviews with Replenishment, Sales, Product Management, Operations, and other stakeholders.Stand up reporting and governance so plans stay current and aligned to needs.Product lifecycle analyticsProvide analysis for introductions, transitions, replacements, substitutions, rationalization, and phase‑outs.Track early demand and inventory behavior on new items to fine‑tune decisions.Flag lifecycle risks—declining demand, excess or obsolete inventory, ineffective transitions, and continued buys of discontinued SKUs.Develop insights and recommendations that inform broader SKU lifecycle choices.Partner with Product Management and Replenishment to connect product moves with inventory actions.KPI reporting and performance insightsBuild and maintain dashboards, models, and recurring reports for inventory and planning performance.Track forecast accuracy and bias, fill rate, stockouts, inventory turns, excess/obsolete, service levels, stocking‑plan compliance, and ERP adoption.Highlight trends, risks, and improvement opportunities with clear owners and follow‑ups.Present actionable insights to operational teams and senior leadership.Cross‑functional supportPartner with Replenishment, Purchasing, Product Management, Sales, Operations, Finance, and IT to deliver inventory and planning improvements.Support category, network, and inventory‑planning reviews.Help define standardized processes, documentation, analytical methods, and decision guardrails.Contribute to supply‑chain initiatives and evolving analyses as business needs change.What you bringBachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or related field.3–5 years in inventory or demand planning, replenishment or supply‑chain analytics, or assortment planning.Advanced Excel and comfort with large, complex datasets.Experience with demand planning, inventory optimization, ERP, or replenishment systems.Working knowledge of forecasting, safety stock, service levels, lead‑time management, inventory segmentation, and replenishment concepts.Dashboarding/visualization in Power BI, Tableau, or similar; SQL strongly preferred.Exposure to Python, R, or advanced statistical modeling is a plus.Background in distribution, wholesale, or multi‑location inventory strongly preferred.Exceptional analytical problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills; able to translate analysis into clear, pragmatic actions.Responsibilities may evolve over time; you may take on related tasks that support business priorities.
