Job summary

Inogen in Plano, TX is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage material planning and procurement of raw materials, expense items, and equipment for medical device manufacturing. You will support SQDIP goals to ensure safe, quality, on-time production.

You will lead supplier relationships, implement Kanban and inventory controls, coordinate product launches, and support engineering changes. The ideal candidate has a related degree and 0–5 years in purchasing or inventory management, with ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 0-3 years of purchasing/inventory management experience; medical device manufacturing preferred.
• ERP experience preferred; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate with manufacturing to ensure supply meets quality and delivery standards.
• Participate in daily management and report KPI status.
• Calculate Kanban quantities and target inventory levels.
• Order raw materials using Kanban pull system and audit Kanban.
• Identify supplier issues and escalation paths.
• Support inventory reduction targets and 5S/visual management improvements.
• Onboard and integrate new suppliers and negotiate pricing where needed.
