Job summary

AMAX, a global leader in GPU-accelerated IT infrastructure, invites an experienced procurement professional to join our Fremont team. You will manage lead times, source and negotiate goods, and shape sourcing strategies to support forecast-driven projects.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and 2+ years in manufacturing. We offer competitive salary, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), FSA, commuter benefits, and a collaborative, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and formulas.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with ability to execute projects across all phases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma and/or Lean experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage lead time, purchases, pulls in and rescheduling of shipments based on forecast and project requirements.
• Source, negotiate, and purchase goods following established policies and procedures.
• Provide input into the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
• Participate, review, negotiate and monitor supplier contracts.
• Conduct cost reduction programs and follow through on recommendations.
• Develop estimated costs to manufacture special items requested by Marketing or customers.
• Determine fabrication methods for special orders.
• Develop estimated costs and processing sheets for special production orders.
• Update specials program and other duties as required.
