Job summary

Slate is seeking a Senior Supplier Tooling Engineer-Stamping to lead and govern Slate’s vendor tooling program across stamped metal, castings, extrusions, and soft trim. You will own tooling compliance, asset tracking, runoff readiness, and launch support, ensuring production-ready tooling at every milestone.

You will guide SQEs, analyze dimensional and process capability data, and drive corrective actions to keep tooling programs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equiv. required.
• 8+ years in supplier tooling, tool engineering, or supplier quality with hands-on mold/die/runoff experience.
• Proven ability to read GD&T, tool drawings, and prints; experience with CMM data.

Responsibilities

• Manage Slate’s vendor tooling program from tool award to production runoff and PPAP.
• Track tool build status, runoffs, and corrective actions for tooling-related non-conformances.
• Oversee tooling asset register and coordinate tool-level engineering changes.
• Mentor SQEs on tooling evaluation methods and supplier engagement strategies.
