Caterpillar in Gardena, California seeks a Principal Supplier Technical Engineer to drive supplier quality from concept through life cycle. You will coordinate with engineering, NPI teams, and aftermarket groups to resolve quality issues and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes PPAP leadership, LOE alignment with Sourcing, and advanced problem solving with 6 Sigma tools. Travel may be required, onsite five days a week.

Formación

• Engineering degree and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with supplier quality and NPI/CPPD concepts.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Lead supplier quality issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• Review concepts, drawings, and supplier designs; manage BAAN/Windchill data.
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Production teams to improve cost and throughput.
• Drive PPAP and First Article Production Inspection Test Plans.
• Support CPPD, NPI and product-to-production transitions.
