Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer Supplier Quality (or Sr. Principal) to join our Mission Assurance team in a 100% remote role within the United States. The position requires extensive travel and is located near Cleveland, OH.

You will manage supplier quality risk, evaluation, and control systems across programs and drive CAPA in a dynamic defense environment. The role demands experience with AS9100/ISO9001, supplier interfacing, and proficiency with inspection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of quality experience, orMaster’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year in quality.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience interfacing with suppliers/customers to meet quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Assures supplier process and product quality including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
• Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and assesses supplier quality and manufacturing processes.
• Conducts product and process verification activities; drives root cause corrective action for supplier issues.
• Manages supplier waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting; maintains approved supplier list.
• Oversees supplier quality plan implementation through all program phases.
