Job summary

Paligen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer III to ensure quality requirements on purchase orders and contracts are understood and met. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers.

The role focuses on supplier evaluation, audits, KPI monitoring, corrective actions, and continuous improvement using tools like FMEA, Fishbone, A-3, fault tree analysis, SPC, and CAPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role. In the absence of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience required.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance, supplier quality, ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and drive actions.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies including root cause and corrective/preventive action determinations and processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet product and schedule requirements.
• Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPIs, including on-time delivery, DPMO, and COPQ.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve supplier quality issues.
• Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensure corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs.
• Provide support to suppliers regarding root cause and corrective/preventive action analysis using tools and methodologies (FMEA, Fishbone, A-3, Fault tree, cause mapping, SPC).
• Manage and maintain supplier performance metrics, assessment, and certification programs.
• Train suppliers to execute specific quality system processes.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure supplier compliance with contractual requirements.
• Represent the company brand to customers, suppliers, and teammate companies.
