Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) is seeking a Sr. Staff Supplier Quality Engineer 6 to lead QA efforts for Printed Wiring Boards. The role emphasizes supplier audits, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, mission assurance and supply chain.

The position requires extensive PWB manufacturing experience, capability to travel up to 50%, and eligibility for a Secret clearance. Hybrid work option available from Baltimore/Linthicum, MD area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or higher with extensive experience in quality, manufacturing, design engineering and/or PWB manufacturing.
• Experience leading audits, teams and projects.
• Experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements.
• Experience with Printed Wiring Board Background.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Experience with RCCA
• Certification in IPC-600 and IPC-6012
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and obtain Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, mission assurance, supply chain teams to qualify and oversee suppliers in the PWB commodity.
• Lead on-site supplier engagements, including performance reviews and audits.
• Develop supplier management strategies that drive performance improvement.
• Lead supplier product readiness reviews and manufacturing readiness reviews as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Perform on-site supplier surveillance, including source inspections and FAI reviews.
• Read and translate technical data packages for suppliers and team members.
• Support Supplier Performance Management goals and provide inputs to reviews and scorecards.
• Lead risk assessments and data mining for continuous improvement across the supply base.
• Mentor other team members and supplier partners.
• Strong background in PWB design and manufacturing processes.
• Represent the company with professionalism and credibility.
• Apply engineering principles to analyze supplier processes and capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional teams toward performance improvements.
• Create data visuals (PowerPoint) for leadership presentations.
• Proficiency with Tableau and SAP.
