Job summary

Global Steering Systems Holdin is seeking an Engineering-level quality professional to own supplier quality for purchased materials and components in Watertown, CT. You will manage supplier 8Ds, SCARs, PPAPs, and quarterly requalification efforts.

You will lead internal QMS improvements, coordinate supplier audits, drive containment, and support launches with PPAP readiness and PFMEA reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in statistical process control software (Minitab preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Microsoft applications).

Responsibilities

• Own supplier nonconformances and 8D/SCAR processes; drive root cause and verify corrective action effectiveness.
• Lead customer 8Ds related to purchased components to closure.
• Lead internal QMS improvements and corrective actions as assigned (audit CARs, procedures).
• Plan and execute yearly supplier PPAP / requalification program.
• Coordinate supplier audits and supplier development activities.
• Support launch programs as Quality lead and PPAP readiness for all launches.
