Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier processes and products meet Beckman requirements. This on-site role reports to the Manager – Supplier Development within the Quality Organization.

You will drive root cause investigation, corrective actions with suppliers, and provide technical consultation on manufacturing processes for assigned commodities. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related discipline.
• 9+ years of relevant experience (design, manufacturing, and quality of component parts) or Master’s with 7+ years or Doctoral with 4+ years.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the resolution of problems involving the integration of suppliers’ products and services into Beckman’s manufacturing processes. Drive Root Cause Investigation and Corrective Actions with Suppliers
• Investigate and analyze technical issues relating to quality, tooling, and supplier manufacturing based on considerable prior experience
• Provide technical consultation to internal and external suppliers for the selection of manufacturing processes. Act as the Subject Matter Expert related to the assigned commodity(s)
• Review validation reports and/or first article submissions for new supplied components.
• Support Production with rapid communication and resolution of supplier-related issues
