Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Reliability and Quality is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier qualifications, fault analysis, and quality programs for data center infrastructure equipment. You will partner with engineering, procurement and vendors to ensure defect-free, reliable equipment for AWS customers.

The role requires 30-50% travel domestically and internationally, with a focus on on-site audits, process improvements, and lifecycle quality management across global supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of direct manufacturing / supplier quality engineering experience.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer; ISO 9001 QMS knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Supplier Quality roadmap for complex electrical or mechanical infrastructure equipment.
• Manage equipment lifecycle quality with suppliers, engineering, procurement and internal stakeholders.
• Improve equipment quality by closing gaps via on-site audits of supplier systems, products and processes.
• Drive supplier quality improvement programs and track KPIs.
• Develop critical-to-quality parameters and perform inspections and testing for defect-free equipment.
• Review historical failures and updates to specs based on lessons learned.
• Lead root cause analysis for electrical and mechanical equipment with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate complex RCA reports from a technical perspective.
• Create supplier qualification plans for new products and drive from prototyping to mass production.
• Analyze failure data and generate technical reports to improve designs and supplier factories.
• Work on multiple projects across regions with a can-do attitude.
