Job summary

Century Arms, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee the quality of the company’s supply base for manufactured firearm parts. The role includes on-site audits, first article inspections, source inspections, and managing incoming inspections and defect communications.

You will identify root causes of supplier defects, maintain non-conforming material records, and train QA inspectors while ensuring adherence to ISO standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
• Demonstrates solid mechanical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Experience with industry sampling plans is preferred.
• Familiar with standard measurement tools and optical comparators.

Responsibilities

• Conducts supplier on-site quality system audits.
• Conducts source inspections to product specs domestically and internationally.
• Conducts onsite First Article inspections.
• Creates and executes Incoming Inspection plans for firearms and parts.
• Screens defective material for non-conformances.
• Identifies problems and performs root cause analysis on supplied parts.
• Maintains records of non-conforming materials.
• Issues and accepts supplier corrective action requests.
• Reviews and communicates inspection results to internal customers and suppliers.
• Trains new Quality Control inspectors.
• Delegates inspection tasks within the QA team as needed.
• Ensures confidentiality of information and adheres to ISO standards.
