Job summary

Advantest America Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to maintain and improve the quality of materials from suppliers and contract manufacturers.

You will support supplier qualification, lead quality meetings, resolve issues, and perform component-level failure analysis. The role requires 3+ years in supplier quality with PCBs, semiconductors, or related areas; strong analytical skills; and the ability to travel frequently between San Jose and Southern California, plus international

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in supplier quality activities involving component suppliers (PCB, electrical components, semiconductors, or sheet metal).
• 3+ years in manufacturing process audits for PCB assemblies or electrical components.
• Knowledge of evaluation or failure-analysis methods for PCBs and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve quality of materials shipped by suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Lead supplier qualification projects and quality meetings with internal teams and suppliers.
• Resolve quality issues and perform component-level failure analysis.
• Travel frequently between San Jose and Southern California, and internationally to Southeast Asia.
• Prepare reports in Word/PowerPoint and analyze data with Excel.
• Ensure compliance with HR, ISO documentation, and company ethics.
