Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business, seeks an Engine Center Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality for APU and TF33 programs in Middletown, CT. The role is onsite, requiring U.S. citizenship and no security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or a closely related industrial environment; or a master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including company and regulatory requirements (AS9100).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and enterprise database systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel to suppliers and other company locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure understanding and adherence to quality requirements, specifications, and QMS expectations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, global supply chain, and procurement to address supplier quality constraints and ensure product conformance.
• Train, support, and approve suppliers in meeting self‑release and DQR requirements.
• Support process improvement initiatives for quality processes across internal and supplier activities using CORE tools and methodologies.
• Lead and support Product Recall activities, including root cause analysis (8D) and investigations, corrective actions, and escape management.
