Job summary

Laborie Medical Technologies Corp in Salt Lake City seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive product quality by evaluating suppliers, managing risk, and auditing vendors to meet quality system requirements.

You will lead supplier selection and monitoring, apply statistical methods, and guide internal teams on complex quality matters to ensure safe, effective medical devices and compliant supply chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific field.
• 8+ years of experience in quality assurance.
• Expertise in ISO 13485 and 21CFR compliant quality systems.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Significant experience with internal and external auditing.

As a key member of the Quality Team, the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will be to manage product quality through the implementation of supplier/contract manufacturer evaluation procedures, use of risk management tools, and auditing of current and prospective vendors.

About the Role:

Identify and manage the risks associated with supplied materials through the following activities:

• Maintain and implement quality system procedures for supplier evaluation.
• Use risk management tools to identify and mitigate supplier risks.
• Participate in the supplier selection and monitoring process.
• Audit current or future suppliers to ensure their compliance to quality system requirements & material specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree in an engineering or related scientific field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance.
• Expertise in ISO 13485 and 21CFR compliant quality systems.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Significant experience and expertise with internal and external auditing.

Technical Skills

• Expertise applying statistical methods to quality assurance.
• Ability to advise others on complex matters.
• Knowledge of system integrations, workflow automation, and digital HR solutions.
