Job summary

Caterpillar’s Clayton, NC site is seeking a Senior Supplier Development Engineer to drive supplier quality improvements and ensure compliant parts for production. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions across global facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Experience with PPAP elements and supplier quality control.
• Strong communication and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to develop quality products for production.
• Build long-lasting relationships with suppliers and partners.
• Audit existing and new suppliers for compliance and quality.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers.
• Generate reports monitoring supplier defect rates and improvement opportunities.
