Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Principal Supplier Performance Engineer to support fabrication of structural and mechanical components at supplier sites. You will report to the Large Structures, SPx Manager and work onsite at Alma, MI; Vancouver, WA; Clinton, NC; or Cincinnati, OH.

No relocation provided. You will lead supplier oversight, develop corrective actions, and coordinate across Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality to ensure compliance with Westinghouse

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience in Power Generation, Nuclear, or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes: machining, welding, forming, assembly, NDE, testing.
• Experience performing process capability analyses (Cpk) and qualification.
• Familiar with Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs, etc.
• Ability to read drawings and ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site supplier oversight to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved.
• Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans for submittals, manufacturing, surveillance, inspections and tests with vendor compliance.
• Coordinate activities of Westinghouse functions driving supplier performance (Supply Chain, Design Engineering, Supplier Quality Oversight).
• Identify and escalate supplier issues, risk, and quality events.
• Guide prompt resolution of issues by coordinating actions and ensuring corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Evaluate procurement risk and develop security of supply risk mitigation plans.
• Manage internal and external corrective action requests and verify completion of actions.
