Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer to join the Supplier Mission Assurance team. The role requires strong leadership, problem solving, and a proactive approach to ensure supplier quality and compliance.

The candidate will develop QA systems, perform supplier audits, manage non-conformances, and coordinate with program management and engineering to meet mission assurance objectives. A DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a related field or higher with relevant experience.
• Experience with quality methods for procured items is preferred.
• Ability to obtain DoD clearance and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Assess supplier processes and product quality to standards.
• Lead supplier risk management including evaluations and audits.
• Conduct supplier audits and report risks to management.
• Manage non-conformances, waivers, deviations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate source inspections and ensure data package completeness.
• Maintain supplier lists and SAP databases for performance data.
• Interface with program management and engineering to align procurements.
• Communicate performance, status and risk to senior management.
