Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to bridge product design and supplier execution from advanced development through mass‑production qualification. You will partner with engineering teams and contract manufacturers to enable scalable, reliable Zipline hardware deployments from the field.

You will own supplier readiness, lead new product introductions, and ensure production processes meet quality, capacity, and cost targets while maintaining strong technical communication

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading new-product industrialization and coordinating across engineering teams and contract manufacturers.
• Strong knowledge of wire harness and FPC/FFC assembly processes and design rules for reliable production.
• Experience with PPAP, RCCA, fishbone, process mapping, and 5S.
• Proven track record of improving supplier or contract-manufacturer quality, process capability, capacity, or production execution.
• Clear written and spoken English for cross-team and supplier communication.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30% to engage manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide design-for-manufacturing guidance for wire harness and FPC/FFC assemblies with engineering teams.
• Lead supplier industrialization during new product introductions to mass production.
• Assess supplier readiness using PPAP, quality-control, and capacity evidence.
• Audit supplier manufacturing processes and drive improvements to meet Zipline quality and cost targets.
• Own supplier-caused field-quality issues and drive containment and corrective actions.
• Support supplier quotations as the manufacturing expert by evaluating process feasibility and cost targets.
