Job summary

Textron Systems seeks a Supplier Development Engineer to drive external supply chain performance for mechanical and electrical parts across Textron Systems’ businesses. You will collaborate with procurement, quality, and program teams to improve supplier quality and delivery.

The role emphasizes supplier qualification, MRAs, and effective execution with cross-functional support. Onsite in Wilmington, MA, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 2+ years’ experience in design environment.
• 5+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or other supply chain engineering role.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Relationships throughout the supply base and connect with internal customers to drive Quality into execution.
• Perform source qualification by conducting quality system surveys and special process surveys.
• Solicit supplier inputs into product design, considering manufacturability and cost.
• Lead risk assessments via FMEA/Risk Cubes and supplier scorecard reviews.
