Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation seeks a Senior Supervisor Supply Chain to lead all aspects of supply chain operations for construction projects. You will drive strategic planning, team leadership, and process optimization to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

The role requires a Bachelor's in SCM or related field (Master's preferred) and 7–10 years of progressive experience, including 3–5 years in supervision, with a proven record of cost savings and strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle from vendor selection to contract management and performance monitoring.
• Oversee inventory management including forecasting, stock levels, warehousing, and distribution to project sites.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as shortages, price fluctuations, and delays.
• Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and foster long-term partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance and strategic initiatives to senior management.

This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and process optimization to meet company objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, including buyers, logistics coordinators, and inventory specialists.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from vendor selection and negotiation to contract management and performance monitoring.
• Oversee inventory management, including forecasting, stock levels, warehousing, and distribution to project sites.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment, coordinating with project managers and other internal stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as material shortages, price fluctuations, and transportation delays.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering partnerships that support long-term company goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the construction or related industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain operations and achieving cost savings.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, inventory management, and logistics.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management systems).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) are a plus.
