Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a dynamic leader to drive leadership development across Production Supervisors and frontline partners in a manufacturing setting. You will mentor, coach, and guide leaders with growing responsibilities while ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and efficiency goals.

This role requires stepping in as interim coverage for the Production Manager, leading cross-functional initiatives, and removing barriers through strong relationships with QA, Safety, HR, and Supply

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in dairy, food science, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple products, processes, or disciplines within manufacturing; multi-line or multi-location experience preferred.

Operations & Manufacturing Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional projects with significant operational, quality, or financial impact.
  • Anticipate constraints related to materials, staffing, equipment, and schedules; proactively align plans with capability.
  • Support process development, execution, and sustainment in partnership with Quality, Safety, HR, and Engineering.
  • Troubleshoot and implement moderate process improvements and resolve difficult, moderately complex problems that may affect multiple departments and guide teams toward effective, sustainable solutions.
  • Apply Manufacturing 101, SPS/RE, and continuous improvement tools to improve safety, quality, yield, cost and service.
Quality, Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and support audit preparation and execution (customer, regulatory, and internal).
  • Coach leaders on decision-making related to food safety, product quality, HOLD/RELEASE, and reaction plans.
  • Reinforce GMPs, sanitation standards, allergen controls, and dairy-specific compliance expectations.
  • All partners are required to comply with company-wide food safety and quality standards as well as procedures specific to their job function, and to model food safety culture through words and actions. Where possible partners should resolve food safety issues within their scope of work and report potential food safety and quality issues to leadership.
  • Reinforce GMPs, sanitation standards, allergen controls, and dairy-specific compliance expectations.
Business Acumen & Communication
  • Understand department and plant business plans, financial results, and performance drivers.
  • Lead initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, cost, service, and partner engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with Scheduling and Supply Chain Planning to align production capability with demand. Communication within and occasionally outside the department to influence others on policies/practices/procedures.
  • Clearly articulate operational, technical, and financial trade-offs to plant leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • May be required to perform other job-related tasks.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience across multiple products, processes, or disciplines within manufacturing; multi-line or multi-location experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead departments of intermediate and entry level partners. Directing the work of the team to accomplish operational results. Has hiring, promotion and reward authority within the area in accordance with manager review and approval.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor and develop supervisors and future leaders.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, continuous improvement tools, and operational financial drivers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and plant systems (e.g., scheduling, downtime, quality, labor tools).
