Job summary

RTX is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead Receiving, Warehousing, and Material Distribution at the Tucson Airport Facility. You will drive organizational efficiency, labor relations, and continuous improvement while coordinating with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance. You will manage daily activities, enforce accountability, and implement improvements to ensure 100% material

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with workforce planning, track training, certify timecards and attendance, and manage area layout and flow.
• Provide a safe work environment and lead safety improvements discussions.
• Assign daily activities, conduct stand-up meetings, set priorities and review reports to locate issues and drive solutions.
• Oversee material accountability from receipt through processing to ensure timely handling and resolve lost/frustrated material.
• Coordinate overtime when required and log hours in OTIS.
• Maintain understanding of hazardous materials classifications, especially Class 1.
• Investigate incidents and prepare RCAS analyses for logistics reviews.
• Order supplies as required to support operations.
• Execute cycle counts and other inventory accuracy tasks to ensure accountability.
• Aim to obtain Certified Supply Chain Certificate within 1 year of employment.

Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor will lead an area focused on the planning and execution of Receiving, Warehousing and Material Distribution operations for Raytheon Missile and Defense working onsite at the Tucson Airport Facility. Tasks to be performed will entail providing strong organizational management and labor relations experience. They will be required to manage all material distribution activities for the site and implement improvement opportunities, drive solutions, along with the ability to resolve conflict within a matrix organization. The candidate must think independently, communicate effectively, and provide leadership while working closely with other disciplines.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate with workforce planning, track employee training, certify timecard and attendance management, create area layout and flow management.
• Provide a safe work environment and actively lead and engage in safety improvements discussions.
• Assign daily activities, conduct stand-up meetings, set priorities and review reports/metrics to locate problem areas and create solutions.
• Assist with accountability of material from receipt to throughout processing period in a timely manner and assist with lost/frustrated material.
• Coordinate overtime when required, and log/track hours in OTIS.
• Clear understanding of hazardous materials classifications, specifically Class 1.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare RCAS analysis for logistics review boards.
• Order supplies as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Demonstrated people management/leadership skills.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

• Previous material accountability experience across multiple projects and conflicting priorities.

• Previous experience working in a cross-functional and/or bargaining unit environment.
• Experience working with hazardous materials Class 1 compatibility rules.
• Understanding regulations including CFR, DFAR, FAR, ITAR, DoD and DSS.
