Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Expert-Level on-site Construction Leader for a permanent Needham, MA position. You will head all field activities, coordinate schedules, and manage subcontractors to deliver complex, ground-up or renovation projects with careful site logistics and stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial construction, OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), and Massachusetts CSL. A company vehicle or gas card is part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction with progressive field leadership responsibilities.
  • Massachusetts CSL license is required.
  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities and serve as the primary field representative on assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Management team.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, safety, productivity, and adherence to contract documents.
  • Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges, schedule impacts, and field conflicts.
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Facilitate and lead subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and coordination meetings.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project logistics, site access, material deliveries, and workforce planning.
  • Oversee punch list completion, project turnover, and closeout activities.
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff.

  • Ability to proactively plan and execute construction activities while minimizing impacts to surrounding businesses, residents, and public infrastructure.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction with progressive field leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale ground-up and/or complex renovation projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.
  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) required.

Pay And Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $175000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
