Job summary

Bulley & Andrews, a Chicago-based construction firm, seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead day-to-day operations, safety, and project performance.

You will develop master schedules and 6-week look-ahead plans, mentor managers and field staff, review contracts for quality, and coordinate with design teams using BIM, Bluebeam, and Procore.

A proven track record in complex construction, outstanding communication, and a valid driver’s license with insurance are required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a Superintendent role.
• Proven track record of quality construction, performance, and leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of construction management, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
• Superior communication, organization and negotiation skills.
• A valid driver's license and valid insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining the project master schedule, including short-term (6-week) look-ahead schedules, as well as utilizing pull planning processes.
• Able to lead and mentor a team of managers, including junior superintendents, field engineers, and field staff
• Able to review contract documents and recognize quality discrepancies and notify project management, while creating cost-effective suggestions to correct the issue; able to create and communicate Requests for Information with design team/ownership
• Participate in scope review prior to contract award
• Proficient at long-range planning, to assist the Project Management team with long-lead material procurement
• Hold and manage a job site meeting with the client and design team (OAC), in the absence of the Project Manager, create meeting minutes, and distribute to appropriate parties
• Capable of all superintendent responsibilities on the most complex projects.
• Able to execute assignments autonomously with minimal involvement from upper management team
• Monitor site safety conditions, direct corrective actions, and conduct regular safety audits.
• Utilize advanced computer skills and construction technology, including: BIM model navigation for coordination and conflict resolution; Collaboration platforms (e.g., Bluebeam and Procore) for punch lists and communication
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings and job site records.
• Resolve inter-trade conflicts and elevate issues as necessary.
• Enforce and manage field-level quality assurance and control standards.
• Validate subcontractor scopes to ensure proper execution of work.
• Understand and apply trade-specific collective bargaining agreements as required.
• Foster high levels of client satisfaction and support repeat business opportunities.

Position Summary

The Senior Superintendent at Bulley & Andrews is responsible for day-to-day operations, safety, and performance of the company's projects.
