Cadence McShane Construction Company is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and top workmanship across projects. You will collaborate with preconstruction, project controls, and field teams to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in construction management or related field, 12+ years of experience, OSHA 30, and full-time in-person work at the jobsite in Texas. A valid U.S.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction management experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Full-time, in-person role at assigned jobsite.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Physical ability to traverse uneven ground, stairs, ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction: assist in proposals, evaluate bid tabs, QA/QC constructability reviews, and develop preliminary schedules.
• Project Controls: manage subcontract agreements, review daily reports, manage site SWPPP, review owner billing, track subcontractor insurance, manage General Conditions, prepare for meetings, coordinate weekly subcontractor meetings, and project team meetings.
• Schedule Management: develop and maintain schedules, meet milestones, monitor progress.
• Quality Management: ensure work conforms to drawings and specs, QA/QC adherence.
• Safety: develop site safety plans, drive safety compliance, conduct safety audits and meetings.

Cadence McShane Construction is looking for a Senior Superintendent! You’ll oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities

Preconstruction

• Working with preconstruction and marketing teams play a key role in the preparation of project proposals, evaluating bid tabs, conducting QA/QC constructability reviews, and developing preliminary project schedules.

Project Controls

• Complete understanding of individual subcontract agreements.
• Review daily reports for accuracy.
• Manage site SWPPP.
• Review monthly owner billing.
• Track and maintain subcontractor insurance certificates.
• Responsible for management of General Conditions.
• Prepare for OAC meetings.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
• Facilitate weekly CMC project team meetings.

Schedule Management

• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Manage day-to-day activities to meet project milestones and ultimately meet or beat project completion date.
• Monitor and report on project progress.

Quality Management

• Ensure work conforms with drawings and specifications and project team adheres to prime contract requirements.
• Advocate for quality and adherence to the company’s QA/QC Program.

Safety

• Participate in the development of site-specific safety plans.
• Champion a culture of safety throughout the project by driving compliance of our Safety Program.
• Conduct site safety audits and weekly safety meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years’ experience in construction management.
• OSHA 30 required
• Full-time, in-person role at assigned jobsite.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Must be permanently authorization to work in the U.S. required.
• Physical requirements: must be able to traverse long distances, traverse uneven, unfinished ground surfaces, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, work on upper floor levels, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in outdoor weather conditions.
