Base pay range: $13.75/hr - $14.50/hr

Position Overview

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring a Senior Summer Camp Counselor at Phoenixville YMCA. This is a part-time, seasonal, hourly position.

Who You Are

• At least 18 years old
• High school graduate or equivalent, or enrolled in at least 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing
• Experience working with children and at least two seasons as a Y Camp Counselor or similar role
• Enthusiastic, humorous, patient

Responsibilities

• Supervise campers and plan activities, encouraging participation
• Ensure all campers can participate regardless of abilities
• Identify, address, and redirect inappropriate behavior
• Maintain safety and proper behavior to prevent accidents
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians
• Promote diversity and inclusion in all interactions
