Job summary

Leidos is looking for a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design protection and control projects for electric utilities. The role involves creating schematics, panel layouts, and performing quality checks, requiring a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of related experience. This position is remote but may require travel to sites. The pay range is $87,100 – $157,450, and sign-on bonuses are available. Opportunities for obtaining EIT and PE credentials are also offered.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of substation protection/control design or field testing/commissioning experience.
• Experience executing substation protection and control projects.
• Willingness to travel to project or client sites.

Responsibilities

• Design relay one‑line diagrams and three‑line AC schematics.
• Create panel layouts and develop bills of materials.
• Perform quality control checks on wiring designs.
