Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Project Manager in Phoenix to lead large electric substation projects within our Program Management department. You will guide initiatives from initiation to close-out, manage scope, schedule, and cost, and drive alignment across internal and external teams with strong stakeholder communication.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electric utility project management, proven leadership, and proficiency with MS Office and Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of electric utility substation project management experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
• Proven leadership, communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Results oriented with understanding of business processes and constraints.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex electric substation projects.
• Lead projects through all internal and external processes and lifecycle stages.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, and cost management.
• Chair key project decisions and steering meetings.
• Coach and motivate a collaborative project team across disciplines.
• Develop and manage the project plan throughout the life cycle.
• Coordinate communications and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Assess risk and proactively implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure adequate resources and maintain effective working relationships.
