Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) seeks an Engineering Section Manager to lead the Substation Division's engineering functions for power infrastructure design projects. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, external partners, and suppliers to deliver safe, accurate, and compliant designs.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in substation design, leadership experience, and a commitment to employee development, quality assurance, and collaboration with global partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with relevant experience.
• 7+ years in power/energy infrastructure projects including leadership.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation engineering projects and review technical deliverables.
• Develop and coach the engineering team; participate in hiring and reviews.
• Ensure quality through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Support project planning, staffing, and budgeting for engineering efforts.
• Collaborate with sales and customers to interpret specifications.
• Resolve technical and quality issues with QA and service teams.
• Represent the division in industry forums and with global partners.
