Job summary

Toth And Associates in Billings, MT is seeking an Electrical Substation Engineer to lead major portions of projects and act as the technical lead for client coordination. The role requires a B.S.

in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program and 7–10 years of substation experience. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing protective and control designs, calculations, and BOMs, while mentoring junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7–10 years of experience in electrical substation engineering or related power systems design.
• Ability to lead technical execution with minimal oversight and review complex calculations.
• Strong knowledge of substation design principles and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead major portions of substation projects from kickoff through delivery.
• Serve as technical lead and coordination point for PMs, clients, and teams.
• Own scope of work including substation design deliverables and studies.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, studies, and BOMs.
• Mentor Engineer I–IV staff and provide design reviews.
