Job summary

The role requires 7+ years in substation projects, ABET-accredited degree, and strong communication, analytical and leadership skills. PE license preferred; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required; 7+ years of substation project experience, consulting preferred
• PE License preferred; FE exam or path to PE encouraged
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office; detail-oriented and well organized
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

• Lead substation projects from concept through completion.
• Develop substation design packages: physical arrangement, relaying/control, grounding, insulation sizing, cable sizing, and BOMs.
• Perform design calculations: grounding, insulation, DC systems, voltage drop, conduit fill.
• Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, equipment specs, and QA/QC reviews.
• Interact with clients; lead proposals, schedules, and budgets.
