Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Lead Substation Electrical Engineer for our Reno, NV office. In this role, you will provide high-level technical assistance for utility-scale electrical substation projects, guiding design and development while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, oversee project phases from inception to completion, and mentor junior engineers. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 7-10 years of relevant experience while holding a PE license.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for multi-site design and development of electrical substations.
• Coordinate and approve electrical design plans ensuring compliance with codes.
• Perform electrical engineering work on substation design including diagrams.
