Leidos Inc. is seeking a Substation Designer in Houston, TX to create electrical layout plans, foundation drawings, conduit layouts, grounding schemes, and control building plans for substations from 12kV to 500kV.
You will review vendor drawings and coordinate with civil and other disciplines. The role requires 2+ years of substation CAD design (Level 1) or 4+ years (Level 2), with MicroStation and AutoCAD expertise, plus strong analytical and detail‑oriented skills.
Seeking an experienced Substation Designer to create design drawings for electric power substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV. The role focuses on developing electrical layout plans, foundation drawings, conduit layout, grounding, control building plans, bills of materials, reviewing equipment drawings, collaborating with other disciplines, performing basic engineering calculations, and applying client, national, and state standards.
Additional experience with AutoCAD 3‑D applications is a plus.
