A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Newark, Delaware, to develop innovative substation design solutions. This role involves overseeing the design of high and medium voltage systems and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality products. With a remote working schedule, this position allows for significant flexibility while making impactful contributions to energy technology. Candidates must hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and have 8+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in high and medium voltage design engineering.
• Design experience in medium and high voltage renewable generation interconnections.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual and detailed design of electrical systems.
• Lead project teams and deliver solutions that meet client standards.
• Assist with project management to ensure timely delivery.

Skills

High and medium voltage design engineering

Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE/ANSI standards

Design experience in transmission and substations

Experience with electrical equipment

Proficiency in Microsoft programs

AutoCAD & REVIT experience

Project management software experience

Education

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification

Registered PE preferred
