ORBIS Inc. in Virginia seeks an experienced submarine engineering program manager to support NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and related PMS offices (Columbia, Virginia, SSN(X), SEA 05Z). The role covers research, development, acquisition and system engineering across submarine programs.

Requirements include 10+ years in submarine operations and DoD acquisition programs, 7+ years engineering, U.S. citizenship and a secret clearance.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in a technical field.
U.S. citizen with active secret clearance.
10+ years submarine operational experience.
10+ years with DoD ACAT ID Acquisition Programs.
7+ years engineering experience.
Demonstrated leadership of large project teams.

Responsibilities

Apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems.
Design products, machinery, implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials, develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology.
Analyze the impact of the products developed or the systems designed on the environment and on the people using them.
Work in testing, production, or maintenance by supervising production, determining the causes of breakdowns, and the testing of manufactured products to maintain quality.
Estimate the time and cost to complete projects.
