Job summary

A defense contractor is seeking a part-time Sr. Engineering Technician to support submarine maintenance and planning at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. This role requires a high school diploma and at least 15 years of related engineering technician experience. Candidates must be able to obtain a Confidential clearance and should have strong experience in SHAPEC or DSSP and submarine systems. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of related Engineering Technician experience.
• Ability to obtain a Confidential clearance.
• Strong SHAPEC or DSSP experience.
• 15 years’ experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems.
• Knowledge of US Navy shipyard applications including AIM.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs).
• Assist with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing Sales Cost estimates.
• Support 688 Class and 774 Class Submarine engineering and Deep Submergence projects.
