Job summary
Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Submarine LAN technician to provide full-time support to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on submarine electronics, LAN administration, and hands-on technical support for the ship's force.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, modernization efforts, and crew training, with compensation under the Service Contract Act and health/retirement benefits. An active secret clearance is required.
Qualifications
- 3 years of full-time engineering experience in submarine electronics maintenance or repair.
- 5 years of full-time technical experience in electronics systems design, installation or testing.
- Prior submarine or Navy LAN administration experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for software/hardware issues on submarines.
- Suggest solutions to equipment or software failures for the ship's force.
- Assist ship's crew with hands-on technical support as needed.
- Train crew during assistance/assessment visits.
- Assist with SubLAN modernization efforts.
- Identify failed components and help obtain replacements.
- Support non-SubLAN laptops/workstations.
- Assist with LAN transitions and grooms.
