Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a Subcontract Management Specialist to support the Vandenberg Launch Operations team. The SCM-3 will oversee subcontractors, manage cost, schedule, and technical performance, and ensure milestones align with contract requirements.

Responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, preparing RFQs/RFPs, negotiating terms, and keeping internal/external customers informed. Travel about 50% and readiness to support Vandenberg hours are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or business experience with purchasing policies and procedures.
Background in Supply Chain processes such as planning, purchasing, inventory management, and/or warehouse operations.
Demonstrated proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (SAP preferred).
Experience in developing and applying basic professional analytical techniques to solve problems.

Responsibilities

Analyze prospective procurements to develop strategies which will secure best value for ULA for GSE hardware and onsite services/construction.
Prepare RFQ and RFP packages, conduct bidders' conferences, analyze proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, and administer subcontracts.
Develop advanced price analysis, proposal evaluation and negotiation skills to reduce total cost of ownership for GSE hardware.
Negotiate and coordinate changes to subcontracts (additions, deletions, modifications).
Ensure compliance with FAR and ULA supply chain processes; brief executives on subcontract status.
