Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) in Decatur, Alabama seeks a Subcontract Management Specialist (SCM-2) to lead cost, schedule, and technical performance of key suppliers. You will direct subcontract activities, develop specifications, and support program reviews while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience, with relocation possible and a 10% travel requirement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel as this position will require a significant amount of data mining.
Experience with SAP ERP System (or similar ERP system).
Effective communication (verbal & written) and organization skills.
Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Business Experience with purchasing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Translate demand forecasts into a strategic sourcing and procurement plan.
Ensure compliance with FAR and standard ULA business processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to develop flight hardware requirements and flow-down to suppliers.
Possess / Develop advanced price analysis, proposal evaluation and negotiation skills.
Possess / Develop project management skills.
