Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Structures Test & Evaluation Instrumentation Engineer (Experienced or Senior) in Berkeley, MO. You will develop and operate instrumentation and test control systems for structural and mechanical tests, supporting programs across Boeing divisions.

You will work in a dynamic STR team, coordinating with cross-functional staff, and mentored by senior engineers. The role requires hands-on lab work, attention to detail, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of PID control, control software, or data acquisition experience
• 3+ years in a lab/test environment, flight test, or similar setting
• 1+ years with sensors and instrumentation (strain gages, temp/pressure, accelerometers)
• 3+ years designing, operating, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems for aircraft programs

Responsibilities

• Operates test control and data acquisition systems during tests
• Designs test hardware, software and systems to meet requirements
• Identifies required products, systems and manufacturing processes/technologies
• Architects and documents instrumentation and test control systems
• Generates electrical schematics using Visio and design software
• Coordinates control system design, fabrication, integration, modification, setup and teardown
• Develops test requirements and determines measurement design approach
• Integrates test hardware, software and systems to meet requirements
• Troubleshoots instrumentation system issues and validates data
• Interfaces with project teams to define and implement test solutions
• Mentors less experienced team members
