Divergent in Torrance, CA seeks a Senior Structures Engineer to lead structural design and analysis for aerospace vehicle programs. You will create CAD models, FE models, and BOMs, run validations, and push for weight and cost improvements across the product lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of aerospace structures and materials.
• Office environment and standard office equipment proficiency.

Purpose

Divergent is seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to support the next generation of industry-leading aerospace vehicle development. As a Senior Structures Engineer, you will support product development across the full lifecycle while acting as a subject matter expert in structural design, analysis, and engineering execution.

The Role

• Create CAD models, FE models, and BOMs for aerospace structures.

Basic Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• CAD and PLM experience.
• Experience with Nastran, Optistruct, LS-Dyna, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of aerospace structures and materials.
• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels E03 - E07 as evaluated through our interview process.

Pay Range

$100,980 - $247,005 USD
