Qualifications

• 6 years of post-JD, transaction-based legal experience at a reputable law firm, investment bank or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge in structured finance and capital markets including financing, asset acquisition and securitization, preferably CRE finance.
• Experience representing underwriters, issuers, sponsors and/or managers in CMBS, RMBS, CLO and asset-backed financings.

Responsibilities

• Advise business teams on all aspects of structured finance transactions, including CRE loans, CMBS and related securities offerings.
• Identify and address legal, regulatory, commercial and reputational issues/risks.
• Advise trading desks on secondary sales/trading of RMBS, CMBS, ABS and CLO securities.
• Analyze and lead implementation of financial regulatory reform (Conflicts of Interest, Dodd-Frank, Reg AB II).
• Manage external counsel relationships and engagement.
• Assist in creating and implementing firm policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory and litigation matters related to structured finance and mortgage matters.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure coverage and adherence to policies.
