Job summary

TPZP is seeking a Structural Superintendent for the CP1 project in Fresno, CA. The role reports to the Project Manager and will oversee construction safety, schedule, and budget on a 32-mile CP1 corridor including major bridge/rail elements.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in construction, 10+ years as a superintendent on heavy civil projects valued over $200M, and experience on bridge/highway/transit works, with OSHA and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience.
• 10+ years as a superintendent on heavy civil projects.
• Experience on projects valued over $200M.
• Superintendent experience on bridge, highway or transit projects.
• Knowledge of US construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred.
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft.
• OSHA certification and First Aid certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Assume responsibility for compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials & equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
