Job summary

Strativ Group, a Los Angeles-based defense engineering firm, is seeking a talented Structural Analyst to tackle complex aerospace challenges.

You will apply first-principles methods to develop aircraft structures, own metallic and composite parts from concept through prototype, and perform advanced finite element analyses.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in aerospace structures, CAD proficiency, and experience with ANSYS/NASTRAN; active U.S. Secret clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aerospace structures design or analysis.
• Proficient in CAD software and engineering data analysis.
• Experience with structural modeling and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
• Solid understanding of material properties, fatigue, load paths, and hand calculations.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop new aircraft products using first principles and design tools.
• Own primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies from design to prototype.
• Perform complex FEM analyses at component, assembly, and aircraft levels (strength, buckling, damage tolerance).
• Apply manufacturing-friendly designs for cost-effective, high-rate production.
• Conduct trade studies to optimize weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule.

Our Los Angeles-based global defence firm is looking for talented Structural Analysts to join a team working on complex, high-performance engineering challenges at the forefront of the defence sector.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Utilize first principle methods and design tools to develop new aircraft products
• Own development of primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies (metallic and composite) from preliminary design through prototype manufacturing
• Perform complex modeling and finite element analysis at the detailed component level, major assembly level, and aircraft level (analysis simulations to include strength, buckling, damage tolerance, and delamination)
• Apply design for manufacturing concepts to create solutions that are cost effective and easy to manufacture at rate
• Conduct trade studies and perform design and analysis research of complex engineering concepts to determine an optimal solution for weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and/or schedule

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace structures design, analysis, or related roles
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with engineering data analysis
• Proven expertise in structural modeling and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of material properties, stress analysis, fatigue assessment, load paths, design practices, and hand calculations
• Strong technical knowledge in core engineering principles, fundamental mechanics of composite materials, design, analysis, testing, and fabrication
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
