Kiewit is seeking a Structural Steel Superintendent to lead field operations for steel erection across Abilene, TX and Westlake, TX. The role coordinates crews, equipment, and schedules while upholding safety and quality standards, collaborating with project management, engineering, and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in structural steel construction and prior supervisory experience, with the ability to travel as project needs require.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience with demonstrated structural steel experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee structural steel field operations, including steel erection and related construction activities.
• Provide supervisory direction to foremen and craft personnel with focus on safety, quality, productivity and schedule.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and work sequencing.
• Coordinate structural steel activities with project management, engineering, other superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review drawings, specifications, work plans, schedules, and other project documentation.
• Monitor daily field activities and progress to identify issues.
• Ensure structural steel work meets project quality requirements and safety standards.
• Assist with short- and long-term construction planning and scheduling.
• Mentor and develop foremen and field personnel while ensuring accountability.
