Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible experience estimating structural steel construction projects.
• Proven experience as a construction or steel estimator.
• Proven ability to provide accurate information that aids operations in achieving corporate goals.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, schedules and other documentation to accurately prepare estimates.
• Collaborate with Sales and Pre-construction to understand scope, timelines and deadlines.
• Coordinate with fabrication, purchasing and field teams to reflect build strategy in estimates.
• Prepare takeoffs of steel materials, shop and field labor, buyout items, equipment costs and subcontractor work.
• Enter estimated data into proprietary software and review results with leaders.
