Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role emphasizes transforming engineering concepts into accurate construction documents using advanced Revit skills.

It is primarily remote with occasional California meetings in Irvine or on-site client visits. The successful candidate will lead structurals detailing, coordinate with engineers, architects, and designers, and support projects from concept through construction

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years producing structural construction documents.
Experience coordinating with engineers, architects, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Proven ability to develop drawings with minimal direction.
Experience with renovation or new construction projects.
Strong understanding of structural systems and detailing.

Responsibilities

Develop structural plans, sections, details, schedules, and construction documents.
Create and update Structural Revit models and drawing sets through design and construction.
Prepare detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and post-tensioned systems.
Coordinate with engineers and architects to resolve conflicts early.
Support design development, permits, bidding, and construction administration.
Ensure deliverables meet drafting standards and schedules.
Maintain BIM models and project documentation per standards.
