Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a Structural Packaging Designer for our Miami Gardens, FL facility. You will collaborate with customers and sales reps to craft new packaging designs, redesign existing packs, and develop innovative uses for current packaging to win new business.

You will leverage PCA design software to create packaging and POP displays, ensuring designs align with our standards and customer goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, structural design, art, engineering, or packaging is required.
• Strong knowledge of production methods, materials, styles and standard design forms used in packaging and POP displays.
• Minimum of four years' experience with packaging and POP display creation and design.
• Proficient in CAD software and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and sales reps to create new packaging designs.
• Redesign packaging for existing products and develop new uses for existing packages.
• Produce designs for packaging and POP displays that meet PCA standards and customer needs.
• Coordinate design samples, testing, and cost data for customer proposals.
• Provide training and guidance to junior designers.
