Qualifications

• FL Inspector License in Building required.
• FL Plans Examiner License in Building required.
• FL Certified General Contractor's License required.
• 3-5 years combined experience in building department field inspection and plans examiner duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of buildings and structures to verify compliance with the Florida Building Code.
• Review structural plans and construction documents for adherence to building codes.
• Document inspection results, issue reports, and maintain accurate records.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology

Excellent verbal and written communication

Good time management, organization, and attention to detail

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
